 CMC-1001 Non-Metallic Positive Positioner
The KMC CMC-1001 non-metallic positive positioner, is designed to work with KMC pneumatic damper actuators. The CMC–1001s can be factory mounted or field installed on 3”, 4”, or 6” stroke actuators.
The CMC-1001’s start-point is adjustable from 3–10 psi. The overall span is a direct function of the selected feedback spring. Springs are available in 5 psi and 10 psi spans and may be ordered separately.
CMC–1001 is designed to be used with actuators containing an 8–13 psi spring so that equal force can be obtained on both power and return strokes.

The KMC CMC-1002 Metal Positive Positioner is designed for use with KMC pneumatic damper actuators. The CMC-1002 can be factory mounted or field installed on 3”, 4”, or 6” stroke actuators and is typically used on metal actuators but it may be used with non-metallic units.
The start-point is adjustable from 3–10 psi. The overall span is a function of the feedback spring used. Feedback springs are available separately in 5 and 10 psi spans.
Use CMC–1002 positioners with actuators containing an 8–13 psi spring to provide equal force on the power and return strokes.

The KMC HPO-5200 Series Linkage Kits are designed to replace linkages on VEP-4000 and VEP-5000 valves.
Kits are available for 1/2" to 2" VEP-4000 series globe valves and 2-1/2" to 6" VEP-5000 flanged valves. Hardware for mounting the linkage to the valve, and the actuator to the linkage, are included with the kit. The MEP-7000, MEP-7700, MEP-5000 and MEP-1200 series actuators must be ordered separately.

The KMC MCP–1030 and MCP–1130 Series 3” Pneumatic Damper Actuators are designed to position automatic air dampers in pneumatically controlled systems. The units may be used for gradual or two-position applications.
Models are available with either post or right angle bracket mounting. Right angle models are shipped with crankarms for either 1/2” or 3/8” damper shafts. Either style is available with a factory mounted positive positioner. Actuators with positive positioners include an 8-13 psi internal spring and a 5 psi span spring. A 10 psi spring may be ordered separately.

The KMC MCP–1160 Series 6” Pneumatic Damper Actuators are designed to position automatic air dampers in pneumatically controlled systems. The MCP-1160 Series features a universal mounting bracket for use with dampers, butterfly valves and variable fan inlet vanes.
The MCP-1160 has an 8–13 psi main spring for ample return power. The linkage is adjustable from 60°–120° of the damper rotation at full stroke. The units may be used for modulating or two-position applications with or without an adjustable start-point positive positioner.

The KMC MCP-1231, and MCP-1241 Hesitation Stroke Pneumatic Damper Actuators are designed to position automatic air dampers in unit ventilators and air handling units.
The action of the MCP-1231 and 1241 is in response to an air pressure signal from a control device. An increase in pressure causes the actuator to stroke to a preset position, hesitate for a preset pressure range, then complete the full stroke. The stroke before and after hesitation is field adjustable.
Actuators may be combined with other control devices for performing various control cycles. Special mounting arrangements are available for adapting to various unit ventilators.

These rotary pneumatic damper actuators are designed to position VAV terminals and other small dampers in HVAC systems.
Models ending in the “000” designation will mount to 1/2" diameter damper shafts, or 3/8" diameter shafts using the HLO-1011 shaft adapter. Models ending with the “001” designation will mount to 1/2" square damper shafts.
Actuators may be mounted with either side toward damper to allow clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. A non-rotation bracket is supplied with each actuator and a variety of options are available to lock the actuator’s drive hub to the damper shaft.

The KMC MCP–5145 Series Smoke Damper Pneumatic Actuators are designed for use in Smoke Control Systems. The actuators position automatic smoke dampers in ambient, or elevated temperatures up to 450°, for 30 minutes. The units may be used for gradual or two-position applications.
MCP-5145s are manufactured and tested to meet Underwriters Laboratories Standard UL555S for use on “Leakage Rated Dampers For Use In Smoke Control Systems”.
Models are available with either post or right angle bracket mounting. Right angle models are shipped with crankarms for either 1/2” or 3/8” damper shafts. A variety of spring and bracket/linkage combinations are available to meet most requirements.

The KMC MCP–5160 Series 6” Pneumatic Damper Actuators are designed to position large automatic air control dampers. The MCP-5160 Series feature a universal mounting bracket for connecting to dampers, butterfly valves and variable fan inlet vanes.

The KMC MCP–8031 Pneumatic Actuators are designed to control small dampers such as air terminal units. The 8031 Series features a right angle bracket for mounting to the side of VAV terminals. The actuator rotates in its’ bracket so air connections can be made where needed. A clevis pin and slot provide direct connection between the VAV terminal’s damper and the actuator shaft. The 8031’s metal body design is ideal for ceiling plenum installations.

The KMC MCP–8035 Series Smoke Damper Pneumatic Actuators are designed for use in Smoke Control Systems. The actuators position automatic smoke dampers in ambient temperatures, or elevated temperatures up to 450° F, for 30 minutes. The units may be used for gradual or two-position applications.
