New BYB Series Industrial Gear-Operated All Plastic Butterfly Valves Designed To Replace Metal Valves In Larger Size Piping Systems

Hayward Flow Control Systems, Clemmons, NC, a division of Hayward Industrial Products, now offers a new line of butterfly valves designed to replace metal valves in a variety of industrial piping systems.

Designed for long-term performance and flexibility, BYB Series Industrial Butterfly Valves feature a rugged, one-piece plastic body that can stand up to high flow rates and elevated stress conditions. Lever operated BYB valves are available in 2" - 8" PVC, CPVC, PPL, and PVDF bodies with CPVC, PPL, and PVDF discs. The 14" - 24" sizes are available in the same body and disc materials and feature a high torque gear box. Options include gear boxes on the smaller sizes, stainless steel lugs on all sizes, and electric or pneumatic actuation.

A choice of FPM, Nitrile or EPDM full face liners eliminates the need for expensive flange gaskets, and a Type 410 SS stem is completely isolated from the process stream. Type 316 SS stems are available.

The New ELEMENT Products

The new standard in process measurement and control.
Our new ELEMENT valves, radar level and analytical field transmitters are excellent proof that the whole can be a lot more than the sum of its parts. As a modular program they can be ombined in a broad array of configurations to be perfectly suited to your exact process. With backlit displays and colored status lights, you are able to quickly determine diagnostic messages at a glance. The beautiful stainless steel design means they are specially suited for the requirements of both environmentally aggressive and hygienic areas. They are easy to clean, deliver excellent precision across a wide range of fluids and look stunning.

A complete system approach to allow our customers to solve process problems encompassing the total loop: valves, sensors and controllers. Includes valves for ON-/OFF and modulating control and sensors for ph/ORP, conductivity and level in one beautifully simple architecture.

Valves and sensors are reliable in the control of inert fluids, steam, corrosive solvents and chemicals or abrasive fluids such as slurries in a wide variety of application environments. Platform is rugged and clean. There is no paint, pockets or pneumatic lines and valves are delivered with bright visual feedback. Simple maintenance in a throwaway society means they are more environmentally friendly than other current solutions.

ELEMENT surpasses industry standards in flexibility and simplicity and are a joy to commission and calibrate.

New ClearView™ Variable Area Flow Meter

Lake Monitors is pleased to announce the release of a new variable area flow meter, adding to Lake Monitor’s brand of flow measuring instruments. As the name indicates, the ClearView™ flow meter was designed with a clear body for applications where it is important to observe fluid condition. This new meter offers an economical, yet superior technology to replace Lake’s phased-out VisiRate™ monitor.

For fluid media compatibility, the ClearView meter is offered in two models: ClearView H2O – for water applications and ClearView + – for oils & chemicals, such as solvents and coolants. The ClearView meter is available in a variety of sizes and porting options, including NPT and BSPP in brass or polysulphone. Measuring accuracy of the ClearView flow meter is ±5% of full scale, with repeatability of ±1% of full scale.

Lake engineers developed the new meter’s compact, rugged design to resolve issues with cracking, which is an area where competitive meters of this type often fail.
