AccuTrak Ultrasonic Leak Detector
works by detecting the high frequency sound associated with friction, arcing and turbulence in industrial systems. These sounds are translated/converted down to the audible range where they can be heard in the headset and viewed on the meter. Translation is done by heterodyning --comparing the incoming signal with one generated by the meter.
AccuTrak Ultrasonic Leak Detector
is most sensitive to sounds around 40 kHz, that's twice the frequency of the best human hearing. Because AccuTrak is focused on a specific band of sound... wind noise, voices, traffic, and most normal operational sounds will NOT be detected. Rolling Element Bearings
Using ultrasound to identify bearing wear in its early stages can be a valuable tool toward avoiding major downtime. As internal components in moving machinery begin to wear, increased friction creates subtle changes in the ultrasonic sound being generated. These changes in ultrasound present themselves before other signs like heat or vibration are noticeable.
