CERTIFIER Air Velocity Calibrator from TSI Incorporated

CERTIFIER Air Velocity Calibrator from TSI Incorporated
Model 8392
TSI's Model 8392 CERTIFIER Air Velocity Calibrator gives you reliable and convenient in-house calibrations at a reasonable cost. You can have the confidence of high accuracies over a wide velocity range with the CERTIFIER. It enables you to calibrate your probed air velocity meters or transducers at velocities as low as 30 ft/min (0.15 m/s) and as high as 9000 ft/min (45 m/s) with typical accuracies of ±1 percent of reading.

Overview

The CERTIFIER is ideal whenever frequent, accurate, air velocity calibrations are required. Having a CERTIFIER on site avoids the delays associated with sending the instrument to an outside calibration facility. Calibrations can be performed at your convenience as often as necessary.

The CERTIFIER comes with a TSI Model 8495 TRANSDUCER DISPLAY & MONITOR that will display actual air velocity. Entering a density correction factor automatically converts the velocity to standard conditions. This allows the user to read air velocity directly from the TRANSDUCER DISPLAY & MONITOR instead of reading pressure and then calculating velocity.

The Model 8392 CERTIFIER Air Velocity Calibrator provides a complete system to meet all of your calibration needs. Standard accessories furnished with the system include:

  • Model 8495 TRANSDUCER DISPLAY & MONITOR
  • MKS Pressure Transducer
  • Fittings which accept 0.188 in. (4.8 mm) through 0.625 in. (15.9 mm) diameter probes (other sizes can be accommodated with the proper 1/2 NPT male compression fitting)
  • Controller for setting fan speed
  • Two nozzle plates for establishing low velocities
