Temperature
measurements of a liquid or gaseous compound have been successfully
made with thermoelectric or expansion thermometers thanks to
the good thermal exchange of the sensor with the fluid. With
solid bodies a good thermal exchange is difficult to be obtained
and an additional measuring error should be considered.
A direct contact measurement is impractical when the object
being measured is moving, it cannot be touched with a thermoelectric
sensor because of electrical hazard or of other reasons. A non-contact
IR temperature measurement is the only solution to the above
application problems. Also other applications benefit because
non-contact thermometers do not add or remove heat or disturb
the process anyway.
Process Thermometers
Series
IRtec 40, IRtec 80 and IRtec 60 are
Eurotron process thermometers. Eurotron has been applying a
total modularity concept in design to ensure one instrument
exactly suited for each particular application. The modular
design also allows an easy add or change of any option directly
in the field. It also simplifies troubleshooting, repair and
calibration. The modular design also gives substantial benefit

than 200 possible standard instruments to fulfil your application
requirement exactly. The three series made by Eurotron, are
differentiated by the optical system. IRtec 60 fibre
optic thermometers are suggested in applications where the ambient
temperature is high or there is no room for installation. IRtec
40/80 series have the widest application possibilities: a large
possibility of wavelenght permits to use this thermometers for
every applications.
