Acceleration Head

When determining NPSHa, the acceleration head is a key factor. Most metering pumps are single or duplex designs which develop significant loss from the starting and stopping of the fluid. The Hydra-cell metering has multiple diaphragms which are actuated at a fast frequency to make the pumps virtually pulsation free. Limiting acceleration head and increasing NPSHa offers a smooth, more accurate system.

Accuracy

Wanner Engineering Hydra-Cell solutions are an inherently simple pump system, both from a mechanical pumping standpoint and from a control standpoint. Utilizing a variable speed drive provides exacting motor/pump performance.

Output

Hydra-Cell flow rates are precisely controlled by motor speed. This makes precise flow control using a variable frequency drive a simple and effective elecronic control method.

Cost vs. Performance

Compared to comparable single, duplex and triplex metering pumps, an Hydra-cell metering can offer significantly lower initial cost.

Flow/Pressure

Hydra-cell metering operate at flow rates to 2100 GPH (7950 LPH) and pressures to 2500 psi (80 bar).

Running Dry

Hydra-cell metering can run dry without damage.
