Our instruments are based on innovative piezo-resistive pressure sensor technology and therefore work after the manometric (respirometric) principle. They are all mercury- & maintenance-free and also easy & cost-effective to operate.

The overall principle is the measurement of difference in air pressure inside a closed system due to microbial (biochemical) activity in a sample which is used to calculate the Biochemical Oxygen Demand reading in mg/l BOD.
