 AQUALYTIC ® COD-Reactors, Type AL 32 and AL 34, are compact multitube block digestors for COD determination. The Type AL 32 has a capacity for eight and the Type AL 34 a capacity for fourteen 16 mm round cuvettes.
For further chemical analysis, the reactors are also provided with one (AL 32) or two (AL 34) further openings, with a diameter of 22 mm.
The temperature setting of 148 °C (with 100 °C as an alternative) and programming of the reaction time are both carried out by means of a membrane keyboard on the front of the unit.
Once the reaction time has expired, the unit switches off automatically and emits an audible signal.

 This basic principles for COD determinations as a standard laboratory method are set out in regulatory documents such as DIN 38 409 or APHA 508, etc.
The Type AL 37 reactor is equipped with 6 openings for 41 mm diameter reaction vessels. The temperature setting (up to
200 °C) and the setting of the reaction time required are shown on a large LCD display. The 4 membrane-type switches on the front panel make the unit particularly easy to operate. Once the reaction time has expired, the unit switches off automatically and emits an audible signal.
Reaction vessels (NS 29/32, 41 mm diameter), air-coolers and other accessories are available.
