How does it work?
If a chemical is detected in the pumphead (by tube failure), the pump will automatically shut off and energize a relay, permitting communications with external equipment, such as an alarm or a SCADA system.
The chemical must be cleaned from the pump head and the tubing should be replaced before the pump will start again.
The TFD system ships as standard on our most popular peristaltic pump models.* No extra cost to you. The sensors are located within the pumphead. Sensors are constructed of chemical resistant Hastelloy-C. Only Blue-White offers this technology. Patent No. 7,001,153
