Electronic No Flow Monitor From Kenco Engineering

Electronic No Flow Monitor

Operating Principle:
Electronic,No,Flow,Monitor,Kenco,EngineeringThe KENCO Electronic No-Flow Monitor is a digital microprocessor control device specifically designed to protect gas compressors from damage due to loss of lubrication. Lubrication to the compressor flows through a divider block lubrication system forcing an internal piston to cycle back and forth. The monitor, which is wired to a proximity switch, senses the mechanical pulse, which is an indication of one complete cycle of the lubrication system. An LED(light emitting diode) will pulse every time the lubrication system cycles. The adjustable shutdown timer will send a signal to sound an alarm or shut down the system if the monitor does not receive a pulse within the allotted time(adjustable between 20 to 270 seconds). When the alarm delay expires, "shutdown" of the compressor will occur, preventing any damage.

Features [NFM]:

  • Failsafe open and closed modes

  • LED Cycle indicator

  • External power not required

  • Explosion Proof-Class I, Div. I, Groups B, C, D

  • Timed shutdown protection

  • Adjustable alarm time from 20 to 270 seconds

  • Electronics module is not subject to the heat and vibration of the divider block

  • NFM can be remotely mounted at the panel board or any other safe location so that the signal can be monitored quickly and easily, with no danger to operator

  • Standard output can be wired for remote totalization and/or monitoring back to a PLC

  • NFM is not affected by oil viscosity or temperature

  • DC Powered-The KENCO No-Flow Monitor operates with 2 "AA" regular or alkaline batteries which are easily replaceable. The low cost batteries have a life expectancy of between 5 and 10 years, depending on the cycle time of the divider block. The No-Flow Monitor comes equipped with a "low battery function". After 30 days of flashing the low battery warning, the monitor will go into alarm state and cannot be reset until the batteries have been replaced.

Features [NFM-2]:

  • Failsafe open and closed modes

  • LED Cycle indicator

  • External power not required

  • Explosion Proof-Class I, Div. I, Groups B, C, D

  • Timed shutdown protection with programmable alarm time

  • Adjustable alarm time from 20 to 270 seconds

  • Electronics module is not subject to the heat and vibration of the divider block

  • NFM can be remotely mounted at the panel board or any other safe location so that the signal can be monitored quickly and easily, with no danger to operator

  • Standard output can be wired for remote totalization and/or monitoring back to a PLC

  • NFM-2 is not affected by oil viscosity or temperature
