TT-100 Tachometer Tape (Tach Tape) provides speed and frequency measurements from a magnetic pickup when only a smooth shaft or wheel is available.
Tach Tape is a slotted, 1-inch (2.54 cm) wide, 1/16 inch (0.16 cm) thick strip of flexible magnetic polymer. Pressure sensitive adhesive on back side allows fastening to a smooth shaft.
Minimum shaft diameter: 2 inches (5.08 cm).
To determine length required:
Step 1: 2 x 3.14 x (half the diameter of the shaft in inches) + 2 inches for setup overlap.
Step 2: Determine the number of discontinuities: (length - 2 inch overlap) divided by 0.45.
