As water passes through the filter, the dirt particles are collected on the screen. This causes a drop in water pressure. When the pressure drop reaches a preset level, the cleaning cycle is initiated. The Vacuum Screen Cleaner aggressively suctions the dirt from the inside of the screen and flushes it out the drain.

The backwash cycle is accomplished in seconds without interrupting the main flow.

It removes dirt as fine as 20 micron, and uses a very small amount of water during cleaning process. In filtration mode, flow is from bottom of filter to inside of screen, and out. During cleaning mode, rotating nozzles collect dirt removed from screen by reverse flow, and sends it out through top of filter. Backwash process takes only 5 seconds.
