Our Copper Averaging Probe is constructed with a rugged bendable copper 1/4" O.D. tube. Inside the probe numerous sensors are encapsulated at equal distances along the length of the sheath. The complete assembly acts as a single temperature sensor and any temperature change is averaged across the sensors. The probe can easily be bent to fit any size duct.
The rigidity of the copper tube may make it easier to install in applications where the sensor must be fed through a thick wall. It is somewhat more expensive than our Flex-Cable Averaging Sensor which has the same function.
