Kistler Model 6175A2 Quartz Cavity Pressure Sensor
Quartz sensor Type 6175A2 for measuring cavity pressures up to 2000 bar when diecasting aluminum. Designed without
diaphragm and with a flat, machinable front. This sensor must never be used for liquids and gases. Integrated high
temperature cable with degree of protection IP65.
The Sensor Type 6175A2 consists of a high temperature
quartz sensor built into a rugged adapter. The sensor has a front diameter of 8 mm, is flush with the front of the
adapter, separated by a cylindrical gap of < 10 microns and measures the pressure directly.
This acts on a quartz sensor element, which yields a proportional electrical charge. The temperature of the melt touching the front of the sensor must not exceed 850C. All parts of the sensor are corrosion-resistant. The high temperature non-detachable cable is protected by steel braiding and has a degree of protection IP65. The Fischer connector is self-locking and splashproof.
