Expo's intrinsically safe Datex keyboards and terminals have been designed to meet a wide range of applications for full function keyboards in hazardous locations and harsh environments. The operator can send and receive input data from the host computer via a text display when using the Datex Terminal.
The Datex can be supplied as a stand-alone or as a component for incorporation by die OEM into their equipment.

An integrated Power Data Unit (PDU) provides an intrinsically safe interface for the power and data transfer from the safe location (PDU) to the hazardous location (keyboard), handling communication with the host computer.
