Description

The TW8201 provides a DC output current proportional to an AC input signal with an optional display in a traditional hockey puck case.  Isolation is provided in the transmitter.  The transmitter is protected by a gasketed, NEMA-4X glass-filled polyester housing and operates from -40C (-20C with display) to +85C. A optional conformal coating of electronic boards is offered.  The chopper-stabilized input amplifier provides accurate, low-drift operation.  The unit includes filtering and conditioning to reduce susceptibility to transients and noisy operations. The digital display utilizes an auto-zero dual-slope integrating A/D converter for accuracy and stability.

The output ZERO and SPAN controls are accessible through the top of the housing. The optional display ZERO and SPAN controls, the range, the trailing zero and decimal switches are located inside the housing.

Terminations are made to screw terminal connectors on the top of the case.

Mounting

Mounting plate accessory MP8000 allows the TW8201 to be mounted on a flat surface or in a 2 3/4 inch wide PVC snap track (TRK48).  Spring retainer clip accessory CLP8000 (factory installed) holds the TW8201 in place inside a Killark HK Series explosion-proof housing (HKB-HFC or HKB-HKGL with lens), or other housing with 3 1/2 inch inside diameter.  DIN rail mounting plate (DMP8000) available for 35mm symmetrical rail.
