Permanent magnets mean that no power is required to hold the load so permanent magnet chucks have no day-to-day running costs. Electro permanent chucks only require power for switching so running costs arevery low.
Electro-permanent magnet chucks provide more clamping power for larger workpieces. Permanent magnets mean that our chucks are – the workpiece remains held even if the power fails.

The top plate is all metal to ensure accuracy and maxiumum coolant resistance, and extra thick to maintain accuracy and give the chuck many years of life, even after frequent regrinding.
Additional top plates are available. These can be mounted on top of the chucks and machined to fit a particular workpiece.
Side and end stops are chrome plated for maxium datum accuracy.
Chucks can be partially magnetised to allow ease of part positioning when setting up.

Chuck blocks extend the chuck's magnetic reach to areas of the workpiece not directly in contact with the chuck top plate to ensuring the workpiece is securely held.
These chuck blocks are for use on magnetic chucks with parallel poles. They may be used horizontally or vertically and can be machined to fit irregular shaped workpieces.
Rectangular blocks are sold in match and numbered pairs.
'v' shaped blocks are for holding cylindrical workpieces, the smaller for workpieces up to 20mm in diameter, the larger for workpieces up to 65mm in diameter.
It is sometimes advantageous to use 2 'v' blocks and matched numbered pairs are available.
Accurate vice for grinding. Holds the workpiece magnetically so does not have the distorting effects of a screw fixing. Can be used on its base, side or end and can be moved while holding the workpiece so the workpiece can be worked on 'square' in 3 dimensions. Accuracy of faces: parallelism - 0.005mm; squareness: 0.01mm per 100mm.
Holds cylindrical and complex workpieces for marking, spark erosion, grinding and measurement.
The 'v' and the base are both magnetic. Both are energised / de-energised at the same time by the toggle switch. The base holds the unit, and therefore the workpiece, securely to any flat ferrous surface.
