Metal Detection From Eclipse Magnetics

The equipment most commonly used by the process industry for the final inspection of goods.

A metal detector consists of the detection head (or coil) and electronic control equipment that interprets signals sent from the detection head.

Detectors can be supplied with reject mechanisms that will remove the contaminated item from the process line (i.e. conveyor belt or pipeline etc.)

The main methods of ejection are as follows:

  • Push/pull paddle
  • Diverter flap
  • Swing arm
  • Air blast system
  • Drop away/retracting belt
  • Pneumatically activated flap/valve
  • Special reject system

Total Foreign Body Detection

We are able to use our extensive knowledge within the processing industries to offer clients a full foreign body detection (FBD) solution incorporating the latest magnetic separation and metal detection technology.

Electronic Control Options

We supply our metal detectors with one of two control systems:

1. SENSITY

Features:

  • Multi digital signal processing
  • Auto-check, Power on self test
  • Continuous self monitoring, automatic error suppression balance tracking, calibration check
  • Automatic learn process for compensation of product effects
  • Teach-in-mode for product setup
  • Parameter storage for 28 different products
  • Delay for signal output and signal duration freely selectable
  • Potential free relay outputs
  • Password protected
  • Operational control in lockable electronic housing
2. GENIUS

Main features of this control unit are as SENSITY (left) but with the following addiions:

  • Log memory for 1000 different event reports
  • Parameter storage for 200 different products
  • Delay for signal output and signal duration freely selectable
  • Potential free relay outputs
  • Multi level access password protected i.e. operator, supervisor technical and service
  • Interface for printer and PC
  • Protocol-software

Conveyor / In Line

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,MagneticsGLS Range

Detection and removal system used extensively in the food and packaging industries.

Detection sensitivities start at 0.5mm this system for excellent detection levels.

Over 200 sizes available or we will manufacture units to your exact specifications.

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,MagneticsUnicon Dry

Incorporates GLS metal detector head.

Full turnkey approach to metal detection for dry applications.

Excellent detection of both ferrous and non-magnetic metal contamination in applications that demand the highest level of detection sensitivity.

System comprises: detector and associated electronic control system; conveyor belt with framework.

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,MagneticsUnicon Wet

As the name suggests, same unit as the Unicon Dry but for wet applications.

Gravity Feed

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,Magnetics4000

Automatically removes contamination upon detection using a pneumatic ejection flap

Detection sensitivity starts at 0.3mm making this detector popular in the plastics and chemical industries.

Do not use in a food or pharmaceutical environment unless checking grain, rice etc. For these applications use the Rapid 5000.

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,Magnetics5000

RZ detector head and pneumatic ejection flap automatically remove contamination upon detection.

Detection sensitivity starts at 0.3mm. Very popular in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Hygienic design - can be cleaned using detergents etc. Low overall height, very versatile and easy to maintain. .

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,Magnetics6000

RZ detector head with a rejection swivel tunnel instead of the standard pneumatic ejection flap.

Ideal for easily damaged products such as flaky, light, fibrous or crumbly products i.e. dried pasta, cornflakes, cereal, noodles and nuts etc.

Detection sensitivity starts at 0.3mm.

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,MagneticsRapid Compact

Compact unit for the removal of ferrrous and non-ferrous metals from free-falling pourable bulk materials.

Used at all stages of a production line in the plastics, food, feed, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries.

Metal,Detection,Eclipse,MagneticsRZ

Low unit height means the RZ detectors can be installed in tight areas such as packing lines and between existing process equipment.

The RZ range offers unsurpassed levels of detection of ferrous and non-ferrous metal contamination in free-flowing dry products such as powders, granulates and fibres.
