Designed for Portability
A key feature of Thern's Davit Cranes are their portability. Independent bases allow you to move the crane from base to base, so one crane can serve more than one lift station. Our cranes also include a Quick Disconnect Cable Anchor so you can quickly attach or remove the wire rope. This means you can leave the hook attached to the load, disconnect the wire rope from the crane, and move the crane to the next lift station. This is ideal for submersed pumps or other loads where detaching the hook from the load is difficult if not impossible.

Our standard cranes feature an electrostatic powder coating to resist corrosion. We also offer galvanized and stainless steel models for added protection in harsh environments. By fixing independent bases where needed around your work site, you can have multiple work stations with a single portable davit crane. Available in a range of sizes and capacities, all our davit cranes are fitted with hand winches and are available in stainless steel construction or with galvanized coating for superior corrosion resistance. They also feature the Quick Disconnect Cable which lets you remove the cable from the crane leaving it hooked to the load. This is especially useful in handling submerged pumps where disconnecting and reconnecting the cable is difficult or impossible without taking the pump out of service.

Hand or Power Winch Operation
Up to 2000 lb capacity

Hand Winch Operated Models include spur gear or worm gear hand winch with automatic disc brake for load control.
   
The Worm Gear Hand Winch model 4WM2-K can be power driven with a maximum 400 rpm drill-motor. Not available for Series 5122.
   
Power Winch Operated Models include 115 volt 1 phase AC electric winch with pendant control and brake. Other voltages and phases, 12 volt DC, pneumatic, and hydraulic available, contact factory. Series 5122 for hand operation only.
   
Quick Disconnect Anchor for quickly attaching or removing the wire rope from the winch drum.
   
Corrosion Resistant Finish with electrostatic powder coating and corrosion resistant fasteners. Galvanized finish also available, see models ending in GAL.
   
Adjustable Booms provide different height and reach combinations for various size loads. Series 5122 boom adjusts with pins to 2 different positions for operation, and folds down for storage or transport. Series 5110 and 5124 booms telescope to 4 different lengths, and adjust in height while under load with ratchet style screw-jack.
   
Crane Rotates 3600 on a pin and sleeve bearing in the base.
   
Stainless Steel models for long service life in corrosive environments, with zinc and iridescent dichromate plated hand winch or stainless steel hand winch.
   
Bases sold separately in pedestal, socket, or wall mount style.
   
Wheel Base sold separately for floor crane operation. Base includes rear caster wheels for 3600 maneuverability.
   
Wire Rope Assemblies sold separately.
