Dynisco
Polymer Test's VS1000 ViscoSensor is the world's smallest in-line
polymer melt rheology instrument, measuring only 17 inches in length
by 8 inches in width.
Dynisco's
new, cost-effective in-line sensor is extremely easy to install and
calibrate. The ViscoSensor attaches to the process via an annular
melt transfer line, with installation achieved via a single M18 pressure
transducer port. Material enters the ViscoSensor and exits back to
the process within this tap. This zero discharge system means the
melt sample is returned to the process, eliminating material waste.
The VS1000
ViscoSensor can be used to generate shear rate vs. viscosity data
or to generate continuous ASTM melt index data. By providing an automated
rheological measurement of a material as it is being processed, the
ViscoSensor becomes an important quality control tool that can be
used to help improve product quality and consistency during processing.
