What
is an ASTM Thermometer?
An ASTM thermometer must conform to all accuracy tolerance and dimensional
specifications of the American Society for Testing and Materials.
The ASTM's Committee on Temperature Measurement (E-20) meets annually
to examine and, if necessary, revise/add/delete the specification
for each of the ASTM thermometers. All of the ASTM thermometers
are fully described in Brooklyn Thermometer's current catalog, available
FREE upon request.

What's the difference between a Laboratory grade and Precision
grade thermometer?
A Laboratory Grade Thermometer measures temperature in 0.5, 1, 2,
or 5° divisions. A Precision Grade Thermometer should be used
when 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, or 0.5° divisions are required. Brooklyn
Thermometer manufactures the largest stocked selection, with over
110 Laboratory and 270 Precision Grade thermometers; plus, all our
ASTM, Calorimeter, Maximum Registering and Red Liquid filled thermometers.
