The
Pico controller performs simple logic, timing, counting,
and real-time clock operations.
Splitting the difference
between a timing relay and a low-end PLC, the Pico controller
is ideal for relay replacement applications, simple
control applications such as building and parking lot
lighting, and applications in which cost is a primary
issue.
Designed with
ease of use in mind, all programming and data adjustments
can be done via the on-board keypad and LCD display,
or with Allen-Bradley's PicoSoft configuration
software.
Pico Family of Controllers Expands
The Pico family of controllers
has now been expanded to include more dc-powered controllers,
a 12V-dc controller and expansion I/O capability and
blocks. With the addition of these six new modules,
the Pico family of products is more flexible and able
to address a greater number of applications.
Key Features and Benefits:
- Expansion I/O for
18 I/O Pico Controllers - Allows Pico to solve additional
simple, discrete control applications where customers
value Pico's on-board display and keypad over a traditional
PLC.
- 12V dc Pico Controller
- Allows Pico into new applications that run on 12V
dc power, such as on-vehicle applications, and solar
cell-powered applications.
- 24V dc Controller
without Keypad & Display - Rounds out the Pico
family with corresponding DC version of an existing
AC controller. Controller is more cost-effective than
equivalent controller with display & keypad, and
is used when access to data values or programming
is not needed.
- PicoSoft Version
3.0 - Supports all the new controllers and expansion
I/O blocks. Now has program simulation! Test and debug
your program without a Pico controller - do this right
from the software.
