| Description
Accutherm is a specialist in design and manufacture of heating systems for the extrusion press industry. Our years of experience in this application enable us to provide long life performance in these difficult applications. Radiant heater systems are designed to fit container holders, of single or two piece construction.
Application
Care is exercised to design each system to its maximum capacity, for the space available, with conservative watt densities with the finest materials available. Radiant holder heaters are installed around the inside periphery of the container holder, to direct radiant heat into the container. This allows the changing of containers without disconnecting the heating system.
Features:
- UL & CSA Recognition for elements.
- 334 stainless steel sheath standard for most applications.
- High purity MgO compacted to provide maximum heat conductivity and optimum dielectric integrity.
- Fusion welded junction between pin and resistance wire for superior strength.
- Recompacted bends on hairpin end to restore MgO density.
- Terminal ends moisture sealed to protect against entrance of contaminants during storage and service.
- Stainless steel mounting studs and nuts for high temperature service.
- Ceramic fiber insulation for minimum heat loss.
- Stainless steel heat reflectors to allow heat to be radiated into container and to reduce losses to the outside.
- Stainless steel element supports which position the heater and allow elements to expand without distortion.
- Ceramic element supports that electrically isolate each element.
- Insulation/heat seal block at element ends to reduce heat loss and provide correct positioning of element ends.
- High temperature interconnecting buss designed to each unit. Power connections are out of the heat zone, giving more reliable performance.
- Two piece heavy duty terminal housing allowing total access to power connections.
- Flexible conduit, connection plugs and receptacles.
- 100% inspected for:
- Dielectric or HiPot between conductors and sheath.
- Insulation resistance.
- Wattage
