Air duct heaters are used to heat moving air for many process heating applications and are easily installed.

Applications
Air Duct Heaters are versatile in heating moving air, such as core drying, heat treating, annealing and temperature boosting. Heaters are designed according to air speed and operating temperature. Whether a catalog design or designed for your specific needs, Accutherm, Inc. has HOT IDEAS for your application.

Standard Features:

UL & CSA recognition elements.

304 stainless steel sheath on DL (low temperature series heaters, 334 stainless steel (equivalent to Incoloy 840) standards for DM (medium) & DH (high) series.

High purity MgO compacted to provide maximum heat conductivity and optimum dielectric integrity.

Fusion welded junction between pin and resistance wire for superior strength.

Recompacted bends on hairpin end of elements to restore MgO density.

Terminal end moisture sealed against the entrance of contaminants during storage.

#10-32 terminals with line lug connectors.

Replaceable element design.

NEMA 1 terminal housing.

Painted steel mounting flange.

DM series heaters have 1" insulation in housing below wiring. DH series heaters have 3 1/2" insulation and stainless steel retainer below the flange.

100% inspected for:

  • Dielectric or HiPot between conductors and sheath of elements.
  • Insulation resistance.
  • Wattage.

Optional/Additional Features

NEMA 4 moisture or NEMA 7 explosion resistant wiring enclosure.

MgO filled type J or K thermocouples for hi-limit control.
Note: Hi-limit thermocouples welded to element sheath to provide positive sensing protection.

Selection of sheath material available.

Type 304 or 316 stainless steel flange.

Special lengths, watts and volts available, consult factory.

In line design instead of mounting flange.
