Flow Indicators - Standard View, Full View and View Through

Flow Indicators are used to measure the flow of liquid, powder or gas through pipelines. Because most applications that run through pipelines require visual inspection at some point in the piping system, visual flow indicators are used in line. L.J. Star supplies different varieties of inline sight glasses that are available for all industries.
Our indicators meet or exceed pressure and temperature ratings, which vary depending upon the application. Materials of construction used in the sight glass must also be suitable for specific processes, as well as the metals, gaskets, and glass. View options include standard inline and full 360° views.

ANSI flange and NPT type connection visual flow indicators are available in many different materials – carbon steel, stainless steel, hastelloy, monel and those with a Teflon® lining. They are the best design available, made of investment cast bodies with independently bolted retainers to ease any routine maintenance an increase safety.

	Metaglas® Sanitary Inline Sight Glass with MetaClamp® The strongest, most secure glass elements available, Metaglas® mechanically prestressed windows, are now available in a sanitary design visual flow indicator in processing applications. MetaClamp®  sanitary-service fittings.
	Sterile View Thru Flow Indicator for Hygienic Applications A flow indicator designed to be mounted in-line for high purity applications to provide operators with a clear view of flow of virtually any process pipeline fluid or powder.
	Flow Indicator Styles: Standard, Full View, and Inline Sight Glass A 360° Full-View Unit with Flanged or Threaded Connection, ranging from 1/8" to 12" size or a Standard View-Through Unit with Flanged or Threaded Connection, ranging from 1/2" to 12" and are full-ANSI rated up to 6".
	Teflon-Lined Flow Indicators for Corrosive Chemicals A flow indicator designed to handle a wide variety of common corrosive chemicals, the new lined L.J. Star visual flow indicators are offered in both Teflon® PFA and Tefzel® models.
	Sterile Full-View Flow Indicator for Hygienic Applications Our Sterile Full-View Indicators feature polished stainless steel sanitary clamp connections are featured in the new Sterile Full-View Visual Flow Indicators, rated up to 150 psi.
	Flow Indicator Heating Jackets A new heating jacket from L.J. Star allows direct observation of high-temperature or temperature-sensitive process fluids without creating a cold spot on temperature-controlled process piping.

Sight Glass Products

Providing high-strength, quality sight glass products is the heart of L.J. Star’s business. We supply a variety of sight windows and ports with borosilicate or soda lime glass. At L.J. Star, we understand the importance of sight glass products for your process equipment. They provide visual inspection of industrial and pharmaceutical processes, and are often used in conjunction with lights that illuminate tank and pipe interiors.

Glass is often the weakest link in any process, but because the observation of interiors of vessels and pipelines is necessary, the glass simply cannot be eliminated. Sight glasses are highly engineered products. Although brands look alike, differences in their specs have tremendous importance for worker safety, sanitary processes, and maintenance costs.

	Hinged Sight Glass - Lumiglas® View/Light Combo Series SKS ESKS integral light/sight glass units have a quick release closure, so that they are a combination of charge/access port and light/sight glass. SKS type sight glass ports are of the same design, except they have no luminaire.
	Sight Glass - Circular Bolt-On Sight Glass Our sight glass is ready for installation on existing ANSI or DIN standard flanges. This bolt-on sight glass unit consists of a base with a raised face flange to fit standard ANSI Class 150 flange nozzles.
	Sight Glass - Lumiglas® Hi-Pressure Weld-On Sight Glass available in six standard sizes that provide viewing areas ranging in size from approximately 3" to 9" in diameter. The weld-on assembly is designed to provide direct visual inspection of process vessels, separators, silos, pipelines and storage tanks.
	Sight Glass - Metaglas® Hinged Sight Glass When a quick-opening sight glass is required in a process application, this hinged assembly, which incorporates the use of Metaglas, can be used up to 150 psi, depending on size.
	Sight Glass - Low Cost Weld Neck Sight Port with Lumiglas® Receiver gauges are designed for use with pneumatic transmission of process variables. A wide variety of transmitters are available which convert process variables...like flow, temperature, level, etc...into a proportional air pressure signal. The most commonly used transmission range is 3 psi to 15 psi.
	Sight Glass - Sanitary MetaClamp® The strongest, most secure sight glass elements available, Metaglas® mechanically prestressed windows, are now available in a sanitary design for process applications.
	Sight Glass - Lumiglas® Weld-On Sight Glass These weld-type sight glass fittings, complete with glass disc, seal gasket, and cushion gasket bolted between circular flanges, is the low-pressure version of the DIN28120.
	Sight Glass - Aseptic Two Piece Sight Glass with Metaglas® For aseptic and sanitary applications, the new flush-mounted NAconnect sight glass from L.J. Star Incorporated provides clear process visibility and unmatched safety with minimal maintenance requirements.
	Sight Glass Fitting - Weld-On for Level Indication Welded into a vessel or a pipeline, these rugged sight glass fittings provide either flow or level indication. They are available in carbon steel, stainless steel and special alloys.
	Obround Weld-On Sight Glass for Level Indication Obround visible glass sizes range from 1 to 4" in width and 6" to 24" inches in length, and are suitable for ASME code requirements.
	Hinged Sight Glass Access Port - Metaglas® Sanitary MetaClamp® When a quick-opening port is required in a process application, this sanitary hinged sight glass, which incorporates the use of the MetaClamp®, can be used up to 150 psi, depending on size.
