Cone Check™ Diaphragm Pumps

Developed especially for handling high-solids and abrasives like those found in stone, clay and glass applications, the new Cone Check Pumps offer the process professional a high-performance, high-endurance alternative to traditional diaphragm pumps with ball-style checks. In laboratory and field tests, the new ARO Cone Checks have proven to outlast standard checks by as much as 5-to-1 according to the manufacturer. In one test involving abrasive ceramic slurry, the trial Cone Check Pump lasted 2-years without failure. Utilizing a hexagonal valve design that opens and closes with each cycle of the pump, the cone check is more suited to easy-flow passage of particles and abrasives while maintaining critical back pressure.

Cone Check™ Diaphragm Pump Features:

  • Durable-yet-Flexible Hexagonal Checks Provides Smooth Material Passage with Very Low Turbulence and Minimal Manifold Wear.
  • Fluid Flow Options: Top-to-Bottom (For Avoiding Pump Pack-Out of Abrasives and Semi Solids), Bottom -to-Top (For Clean Fluid Transfer)
  • Outlasts Ball-Checks by as much as 5-to-1
  • Available in 1-1/2", 2" and 3" Port Sizes, Aluminum, Cast Iron and Stainless Steel Construction. 85 to 195 GPM Maximum Flow
  • Patented Stall-Free Air Motor / Valve Design
  • Ice-Free Operation
  • Bolted Construction for Leak-Tight Integrity
  • 5-Year Warranty

Process and fluid handling professionals interested in learning more about the new ARO Cone Check Diaphragm Pumps can do so by contacting their ARO Process Pump House Distributor or by contacting the manufacturer.

Powder Transfer Systems

The air-operated Powder Transfer System is designed specifically for the transfer of process powders up to 40-lbs/cu.ft (721-kgs/cu.m). ARO's new Powder Transfer System, a modified diaphragm pump, incorporates patented stall-free air valving together with a new air induction system (patent pending) that boosts efficiency and eliminates powder pack-out at startup.

The new ARO Powder Transfer System replaces messy manual powder transfer processes and has proven to be much more economical and more simple than large installed "systems".

In rigorous testing (both laboratory and field), the ARO® Powder Transfer System has proven to routinely deliver pack-free, trouble-free powder transfer at a fraction of the cost that installed systems demand.

Features of the ARO® Powder Transfer System

  • Replaces Messy, Inefficient Manual Processes
  • Reduces Airborne Contamination-Through Direct Container-to-Recipe Transfer
  • Patented Air-Induction System Avoids Powder Pack-Out
  • Economical & Simple-Unlike Large, Complex, Costly Installed Systems
  • Portable: Can be Easily Moved from Site-to-Site
  • Available in 2" or 3" Port Sizes, Stainless Steel or Aluminum Body
  • Can be Applied to a Wide Variety of Dry Process Powders including Fumed Silica, Carbon Black, Expanded Mica, Micro-Bubbles, Acrylic Resins, Silicones and more.

S-Tran Sanitary Pumps

The S-Tran pump comes with the patented "Unstallable" air valve and the non-freezing "Quick Dump" technology that is so popular on the IR ARO standard diaphragm pumps.

Typical Applications where the new S-Tran pump may be utilized include the following: Food Processing, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, Chemical Additives, and Adhesives (Food grade)

Features of the S-Tran Series Diaphragm Pumps

  • Constructed of FDA Accepted Materials
  • Electro-Polished 316 Stainless Steel Fluid Section
  • Bolted Construction with all Stainless Steel Hardware
  • Available in 2" and 3" Tri-clamp Style Fitting

Drum Pumps

ARO offers an entire line of air-operated drum pump packages and accessories developed to provide quick and efficient fluid transfer and supply from 55-gallon drums and bulk tanks.  Featuring an ARO® Diaphragm Pump ( ½" fluid ports), the new ARO Drum Pump line offersthe following:
  • Quick, Convenient Drum Changeout
  • Choice of Aluminum , Stainless Steel or Polypropylene Body Construction- ARO Drum Pumps are available in three body materials for optimum fluid compatibility.
  • 11 GPM Flow Capability- Drum Pumps offer plenty of capacity to satisfy a broad range of transfer application volume demands.
  • Stall-Free Operation- ARO Diaphragm Drum Pumps feature a patented "unbalanced" air valve design that avoids stall-out, even under low air-inlet pressures.
  • Bolted Construction- Unlike traditional band-clamp style pumps, ARO Diaphragm Drum Pumps utilize bolted fasteners for leak-tight integrity.
  • Package Components Factory-Matched- ARO Drum Pump package components (adapters, siphon tubes, etc.) contain pre-specified, matching materials of construction for complete fluid compatibility.
  • Choose from Basic to Complete- Drum Pump Packages can be ordered in 3 styles:
    • Basic: Pump, Bung Adapter, Air Safety Shut-Off, Siphon Tube.
    • Complete/Transfer: Pump, Adapter, Shut-Off, Siphon Tube and Fluid Hose or Fluid Hose with Non-Drip Nozzle.

    • Complete/ Dispensing: Pump, Adapter, Shut-Off, Siphon Tube with Foot Valve, Hose and Dispensing Fixture.
