The microprocessor
based, waterproof HI 9060 is ideal for use in wet and hostile
environments such as water treatment plants, cooling towers, HVAC
installations, food processing lines and industrial applications.
These rugged meters use thermistor sensors for measuring the temperature
in a range from -58 to 302°F (-50 to 150°C). A thermistor
is a tiny electronic sensor that has the ability to measure temperature
rapidly with extreme accuracy. For this reason, the sensor can be
utilized in several different probe configurations with excellent
performance. The thermistor probes available today must be calibrated
to match the characteristics of the meter it is used with. Therefore
you cannot interchange standard thermistor probes with one another.
Hanna has incorporated a mini-circuit in the thermistor probes that
give them the same characteristics of other Hanna thermistors. This
means any Hanna thermistor thermometer can use any Hanna thermistor
probe, interchangeably!
HI 9060 is supplied complete with HI 765BL temperature probe
with 3.3' (1 m) cable and 4 x 1.5V AA batteries.
A wide
variety of optional temperature probes is available for different
applications.
