Thermocouple Probe Ranges The meter accepts input of K, J and
T type thermocouples, and the microprocessor will linearize each
of the different ranges.

- Specifications
It is
sometimes necessary to take temperature measurements with different
types of thermocouples (K-J-T). To make this possible with one meter,
Hanna developed HI 93551. This meter is equipped with a key
that switches range from K type to J type or T type thermocouples.
The microprocessor is programmed to linearize the different types
of readings taken with the different thermocouples. This gives HI
93551 the power of 3 meters, all in one unit. HI 93551
can read with a resolution of 0.1 in the range of -200.0 to 999.9ºC
(-300.0 to 999.9°F); this was once only possible in sophisticated
equipment used in research labs. The meter is also equipped with HI
and LO functions that recall the highest and lowest measured
temperatures from memory. A C/F key will toggle between Centigrade
and Fahrenheit.
A wide
variety of optional temperature probes is available for different
applications.
