For applications
requiring documentation and high precision of ±0.4°C/±0.8°F,
HI 98710 and HI 98740 are the perfect solution. The
advanced Hanna electronics inside the thermometers linearizes measurements
taken with the NTC UNI-CURVE® thermistor sensor. With a diameter
of 0.095” (2.4 mm), these sensors are fast and meet MIL T-23648
standards.
These
portable instruments are engineered with large backlit displays
to permit use even in dimly lit conditions. The meters incorporate
the latest in GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) technology. At the touch
of a button, you can retrieve the date and the details of last calibration.
A host
of default parameters are user-adjustable. For example, you can devise
a prompt for recalibration, or vary the auto-off settings. HI 98710
is a single channel unit, while HI 98740 can incorporate up
to 4 temperature probes. Printing intervals are user-selectable from
1 to 180 minutes. If more than one probe is in use, the printer will
label the data of each probe. The interchangeable HI 762 sensors come
preselected with a maximum interchangeability error of ±0.2°C.
The probe handles are color also coded to avoid cross contamination
of samples - an important plus in the food sector.
HI
98710 and HI 98740 run on batteries or with a 12VDC adapter
for extended periods of measurements. Battery Error Prevention System
technology (BEPS) is also incorporated in these meters to prevent
erroneous readings due to weak batteries. HI 98710 is supplied
complete with HI 762BL temperature probe. Choose other HI 762
temperature probes to suit your specific application. Upon request
HI 98710/C and HI 98740/C models can be supplied
with a Factory Calibration Certificate against NIST Standards. Recalibration
service is also available at your nearest Hanna Service Center.
