E2740 provides all the support necessary to deploy
and maintain DMT based ADSL Services. Operating
as a replacement for the ATU-R device, the instrument
is able to quickly verify that the ADSL service
is correctly installed, indicating the expected
quality of service for both the upstream and downstream
channels. In addition to this basic commissioning
test, which requires the minimum of operator intervention,
the instrument is able to provide full diagnostic
information on the ADSL link, enabling the systematic
location of faulty network segments or devices.
With its rugged, waterproof (IP54) case, the E2740
is ideally suited for field use, enabling verification
of the ADSL service at all stages of the network,
from the MDF at the exchange through cable joints,
cross connect cabinets, pedestals / distribution
points, network termination points to the ATU-R
connection itself.
