| The RD260 is a rugged low cost piezo electric accelerometer specially designed to operate at very high acceleration levels. A simple design based on a single machined stainless steel component allows flexibility in the setting of frequency range and sensitivity combined with low cost of manufacture, accuracy of computer modelling and robustness. Because the RD260 is a piezo electric device it generates charge in response to applied acceleration and requires no excitation power. In some applications the output signal from the RD260 can be used to start up the signal processing circuits. The RD260 can accurately measure signals in the range 0.1g to 100,000g - this very wide dynamic range permits its use in many innovative applications.
