PVDF
& Polypropylene Butt Fusion Piping Systems
Chemline
now offers complete piping systems in PVDF and pigmented or natural
polypropylene. Packages include pipe, fittings, valves, flow meters
and controls along with high-tech infrared butt fusion equipment.
Polypropylene offers higher impact strength and operating temperature
range (up to 200 degrees F) compared to PVC. Polypropylene has
chemical resistance and unpigmented polypropylene is preferred
for high purity applications. PVDF has even higher operating temperatures
(280 degrees F), impact strength and high purity properties.
High
Purity Natural Polypropylene Piping Systems
Unpigmented
(natural) polypropylene is an economical alternative to PVDF for
high purity water. Chemline's new natural polypropylene pipe,
fittings and valves are manufactured from high purity resin in
a clean room environment. Pipe is available 1/2" to 9".
Natural polypropylene valves include ball and diaphragm types.
Connections are made with high-tech infrared butt fusion machines.
Where mechanical connections are required, flanges or threaded
adapters are available.
Electrofusion
System for PVDF Pipe & Fittings
The
new"HPMF" system is for Chemline's PVDF pipe and fittings
1/2" - 2". It is similar to polypropylene electrofusion
systems used for laboratory drainage. These PVDF collars contain
a copper coil. After precision planing, pipe or fitting ends are
inserted into the collar. Voltage applied to the coil produces
a strong beadless butt joint. With the bladder tool, you can make
a bead and crevice free joint to satisfy the strictest high purity
requirements.
