DGH - Data Acquisition

DGH is a leader in sensor-based data acquisition. We offer a complete family of data acquisition hardware and software that provide analog and digital inputs and outputs for computer and networked applications. Our data acquisition products can communicate via RS232 and RS485 using ASCII or Modbus RTU protocol. USB and Ethernet to serial converters are also available.

D1000 Analog Input Modules

Data Acquisition, Modbus, Ethernet, DGH, USB, RS-232, RS-485, analog, digital, inputs, outputs, Serial, Converters

The D1000 series data acquisition modules provide an isolated 15-bit measurement and discrete digital I/O bits for controlling solid state relays or sensing contact closures.

The D1000 ADC performs an analog to digital conversion and linearization of sensor input data and communicates in ASCII format via RS232 or RS485. The module's ADC continuously converts data at the rate of 8 conversions per second and stores the latest result in the buffer.

The D1000 series ADC modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.

Digital I/O Products - 1700 Series

The 1700 digital I/O series products provide computer monitoring of digital input and digital output signals for control of industrial devices through solid state relays.

The D1700 digital I/O modules allow a host computer to control thousands of digital I/O points from one serial port. The digital inputs accept signals up to +30Vdc without damage and have TTL logic input switching levels. The digital outputs are open-collector transistors will sink: 30mA (D1701/D1702), 100mA (D1711/D1712) making them ideal for controlling solid state relays. The status of digital inputs and digital outputs are communicated to any host serial port in ASCII using either RS-232 or RS-485.

The 1700M series is also available. It is similar to the 1700 Series but communicates using the Modbus RTU protocol.

The D1700 and D1700M digital I/O modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.

The H1700 digital I/O boards provide direct interface to industry standard mounting racks and solid-state relays. Industry standard mounting racks can be controlled directly with the H1750 or H1770 digital I/O boards.

The H1700M digital I/O boards are similar to the H1700 Series but communicates using the Modbus RTU protocol.

Modbus Digital I/O Series - D1700M

Data Acquisition, Modbus, Ethernet, DGH, USB, RS-232, RS-485, analog, digital, inputs, outputs, Serial, Converters

The 1700M Modbus series digital I/O products provide computer monitoring of digital input and digital output signals and control of industrial devices through solid state relays.  The status of inputs and outputs is communicated to the host in either Modbus RTU or DGH ASCII format using RS-232 or RS-485 serial communications. The 1700M series includes:

D1711M  15 channel I/O module with RS-232 output.

D1712M  15 channel I/O module with RS-485 output.

D1750M  24 channel I/O board with RS-232/RS-485 output.

H1770M  64 channel I/O board with RS-232/RS-485 output.

The D1700M digital I/O modules allow a single host computer to control thousands of I/O points from one serial port using RS-485 and repeaters in Modbus RTU format. When using RS-232 in Modbus format you are limited to one board/ module. The digital inputs accept a wide signal level input, up to +30Vdc without damage, and have TTL logic input switching levels. The digital outputs are open-collector transistors offering the most flexibility for almost any application. The digital outputs will also sink:  100mA (D1711M/D1712M), making them ideal for controlling solid state relays. The 1700M series is compatible with all industry standard I/O modules and I/O racks.

Each 1700M contains up to 64 bits of digital inputs and outputs. The input or output direction of each digital bit may be set by the user individually or all at once.

The H1700M digital I/O boards provide direct interface to industry standard mounting racks and solid-state relays. Industry standard 24 relay mounting racks can be controlled directly with the H1750M or H1770M digital I/O boards.

Many industrial applications require a 'safe' start-up condition to prevent accidents at critical points in the process. Each 1700M contains an initial start-up value which is used to configure the digital outputs on power up. The initial value is use selectable and stored in EEPROM. Since each digital output is automatically configured on start-up, no software initialization routines are required.

The 1700M series contains a user- programmable software timer to provide an orderly shutdown of the output signal in the event of host computer or communications failure.

The D1711M and D1712M contain an onboard events counter that counts up to 10 million transitions that occur on the digital input. The event counter may be read and cleared by the host computer at any time.

The D1711M/D1712M digital I/O modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.

D3000/4000 Digital to Analog Output Modules

Data Acquisition, Modbus, Ethernet, DGH, USB, RS-232, RS-485, analog, digital, inputs, outputs, Serial, Converters

The DGH D3000/4000 D/A series are complete digital to analog output modules. They communicate, in ASCII, with RS232 and RS485 serial ports. Simple ASCII commands are used to control a 12-bit Digital to Analog Converter which is scaled to commonly used current and voltage ranges.

The combination of an accurate high-resolution D/A and a dedicated microprocessor produces a very powerful intelligent interface between the host and the D/A.  The D4000 series provides intelligent features not found in the D3000. See data sheet for details.

The D3000/4000 D/A series are compatible with the DGH D1000 and D2000 series and may be mixed in any order.

Users of the Modbus RTU protocol should consider the 'D3000M' series. The D3000M series is similar to the D3000 series but communicates using the 'RTU' version of the Modbus protocol in RS485. The D3000M provides a direct connection to a Modbus port or PLC.

The D3000/4000 D/A series modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.

D5000 Four Analog Input Data Acquisition Modules

Data Acquisition, Modbus, Ethernet, DGH, USB, RS-232, RS-485, analog, digital, inputs, outputs, Serial, Converters

The D5000 series are low-cost data acquisition (DAQ) modules that provide direct connection to four analog signals of the same input type and range to any host with an RS232 or RS485 port.

The DAQ modules provide direct connection to a wide variety of sensors and perform all signal conditioning, scaling, linearization and conversion to engineering units. In addition, the D5000 DAQ can scale linear analog input signals to desired engineering units. For example: 4-20mA to 0-100%.

While the D5000 DAQ series is isolated input to output, the inputs are not isolated channel to channel.

The D5000 DAQ series modules can also be mounted on a DIN-Rail using the MK-1 mounting kit.

D5000M Modbus Data Acquisition Systems (DAS)

Data Acquisition, Modbus, Ethernet, DGH, USB, RS-232, RS-485, analog, digital, inputs, outputs, Serial, Converters

The D5000M Modbus data acquisition (DAS) uses the Modbus RTU protocol for communication. The D5000M are complete four-channel data acquisition systems that are well suited to applications such as SCADA, data monitoring, data loggers, PLC's, process controllers and instrumentation. The modules convert an analog input signal to engineering units and transmit in ASCII data format to any host or PLC with RS485 or RS232 serial ports. The D5000M Modbus DAS series analog signal input types include Voltage, Current and Temperature.

The D5000M DAS series converts the digital signal data into engineering units using look-up tables. The resultant data is stored in a memory buffer. The module's ADC continuously converts data at the rate of 8 conversions per second and stores the latest result in the buffer.

Using RS485 up to 247 Modbus DAS modules may be linked to an RS485 port or PLC. Since Modbus protocol does not support echoing, D5000M RS232 modules may not be daisy-chained. This limits you to one module per RS232 serial port.

The single analog input D5000M DAS series provides an isolated 15-bit measurement ADC and discrete digital I/O bits for controlling solid state relays or sensing contact closures.

DIN-100 Modbus series are low cost single channel modules that are DIN rail mountable.
