  Micropump Cavity Style Gear Pumps

Cavity Style Gear Pumps

Micropump offers a variety of products to meet market needs for precise metering and low flow applications. These include traditional external gear pumps, our unique Suction Shoe (pressure loaded) style gear pump, as well as centrifugal, piston and vane pumps.

Benefits of metering with Gear Pumps are:

  • Virtually no pulsations
  • Accuracy of 2% or better depending on controls
  • Fewer wearing parts
  • Ease of installation Less auxiliary equipment such as pulsation dampeners
  • No check valves to fail
  • Operation simplicity
Conventional Gear/Cavity Design

Series 1100, 114, 2200, 5000, 5500, and 10K utilize traditional Cavity Style Gear Pump technology that has been a dependable standard in the industry. Offered in a variety of materials, these products are well suited for most low flow and precision metering applications.

Cavity style pumps use gears that mesh within a precision machined cavity and rotate to carry fluid from inlet to outlet.

Suction Shoe Design Technology
Micropump’s unique Suction Shoe pumps consist of the Series 180, 200, and 220 units.

Benefits of this design include:

  • Near zero slip resulting in more accurate metering
  • A self-compensating design for better performance as pumps wear or thermally expand
  • Ease of servicing
