Comparison
Standard Accelerometer Endevco Model 2270M15
The Endevco Model 2270M15-XX Accelerometer Standard
is a combination standard accelerometer and calibration
fixture used for performing vibration transducer comparison
calibrations on engine vibration monitoring (EVM) and
industrial type transducers. It features mounting hole
patterns for direct mounting (without the use of adapter
plates) of most of the Endevco Model 6200 series transducers.
Also available is a centrally located tapped hole for
mounting test transducers via a single adapter stud. Other
mounting patterns (adaptable within the physical constraints
of the 2270M15) and thread sizes are available upon request.
The model number suffix "-XX" designates these options.
The Model 2270M15 is designed to be mounted directly on
a shaker table utilizing a central 1/4-28 UNF threaded
hole located on the bottom mounting surface.
The accelerometer output is electrically isolated from
the case and from the shaker mounting surface to prevent
electrical ground loops. It is designed to have a high
degree of mechanical strain isolation to minimize sensitivity
changes in the standard accelerometer caused by poor shaker
motion and the weight of test transducers.
The Model 2270M15 is supplied with an absolute reciprocity
sensitivity calibration at 100 Hz. In addition, a comparison
frequency response calibration is supplied from 20 Hz
to 10,000 Hz. Optional calibrations are available to extend
the calibration down to 2 Hz and up to 20,000 Hz. All
results are given in a comprehensive report showing traceability
to the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY.
