Fieldbus Intrinsically Safe Concept (FISCO) defines the future for intrinsically safe fieldbus by removing the severe current limitation that existed under the earlier approval’s regime.

More field instruments can be connected to each fieldbus trunk and the safety assessment and documentation is greatly simplified.

For easy integration with DCS Fieldbus Interface Modules (FIMs), MTL can supply Termination Boards that use the DCS client system interconnect cables. These support up to four power supplies and have built-in segment terminators.
