Introduction

AirStreme odour products are unique group of a line of environmentally friendly odour neutralizing agents, formulated from a blend of essential oils, surfactants, and aromatics for atomizing, spraying and vaporizing (misting and fogging) applications.

Three types of odour neutralizing agents include contact deodorizer, concentrated deodorizer and piian odour neutralizer. Depending on the type of the agents, they can be used from small to large scale odour control applications for the elimination of odour sources. They contain no alcohols, and are non-hazardous, non-flammable, completely bio-degradable and water soluble. They may also be added to wash-down water and used for deodorizing surfaces or liquids. With acidic odours, deodorizers supplies various functional combinations which, reacting with free oxygen, produce radicals which encourage various types of reactions including chemical decomposition
and chemical catalysis.

Odour neutralizing agents are injected into the atomization systems inlet water supply or premixed into a reservoir from which the atomization system draws from to produce an ultra fine mist to combat airborne malodours. Nozzle layout is designed to maximize contact of odour neutralizer with malodorous gases by strategic positioning at critical point sources. Some of the applications include garbage truck and bin wash-down, transfer stations, rendering plants, wastewater treatment plants, landfill working areas, compost sites and health care centers.

HL Series Deodorizers

HL Series Deodorizers are a line of environmentally friendly contact deodorizers, formulated from a blend of essential oils, surfactants, and aromatics. They contain no alcohols, and are non-hazardous, non-flammable, and completely bio-degradable. HL Series Deodorizers are completely water soluble, and safe for carpet and fabric contact. HL Series Deodorizers contain powerful deodorizing agents, and may be applied by spraying, misting, fogging, or atomization into odourous air. HL Series Deodorizers may also be added to wash-down water and used for deodorizing surfaces or liquids.

HL 51 Contact deodorizer

Safe, all-natural, long-standing, non-staining elimination of air and surface odours. Can be used directly or dilluted up to 10:1

HL 451 Concentrated deodorizer

Safe, easy to apply, powerfull reactants for the destruction of odourous gases for use in large scale odour sources. Can be used dilluted up to 75:1

Technical Profile

HL Series Deodorizers are effective against acidic odours (sulfides, mercaptans, etc.) and also ammoniacal or amine odours (nitrogen based).

HL Series Deodorizers are capable of making minor pH adjustments in the odourless stream toward the acidic side, making the reactions that produce amines and ammonia gas less frequent. The methodology is condensation by chemical reaction. In other words, an organic acid in the carrier reacts with ammonia to produce either ammonium or metal salts and with amines to produce alcohol (ethylamine to ethyl alcohol) then with the alcohol (condensation of alcohol with an organic acid) to produce an ester and water. It is possible for the ester produced to have a similar fragrance to the organic acids which produced it or to the essential oils from which the acid originated, thus “prolonging” the fragrance of the deodorizer.

With acidic odours, HL Series Deodorizers supplies various functional combinations which, reacting with free oxygen, produce radicals which encourage various types of reactions including chemical decomposition and chemical catalysis. Atmospheric oxygen is essential in these reactions with an amine function (amino acid) acting as the initiator in some instances and the catalyst in others, and newly formed hydroxyl radicals (OH) acting as the catalyst in others.

In addition to atomization uses, HL Series Deodorizers may be sprayed onto walls, drapes, and floors and can eliminate even the toughest odours including tobacco odours. It can also be added to wash or rinse waters to remove compost and animal odours from clothing.
