Application
BT Rotary Valves are used as powder-feeders in pneumatic conveying systems
for powders where the material requires an assist to be removed from
the vane pockets and/or when the valve must be connected directly with
the conveying line. They are used in the chemical, plastics, food, pharmaceutical,
cement industries and in all industrial fields where highly-efficient
valve is required.
Size
Available in four standard sizes: 6, 8, 10, 12 for conveying line sizes
from 2 to 6 inches.
Pressure range
Up to 1bar differential pressure.
Temperature
Handled material temperature up to 120°C.
Construction Materials
• Housing and end plates
Cast iron, stainless steel, aluminium
• Rotor
Carbon steel, stainless steel, hardened steel replaceable blade tips
• Internal surface treatments
Nickel-plating, chrome-plating, anti-adhesive surface
• Packing
PTFE, graphite
• End plate O-ring
NBR, Silicone for food industry
Rotor
8 (standard), 10 or 12 vanes open end partially filled, fabricated construction
and bevelled edge (standard); open end partially filled with replaceable
blade tips.
Drive
Chain drive with helical gearmotor.

Features

1 Shaft with key
Extra heavy-duty to decrease
flexion and to provide maximum torque.
2 Out-board mounted sealed ball bearings, maintenance free
The ball bearings are provided with high quality grease.
No re-greasing required.
External bearings prevent the material from entering into the bearing.
3 Packing glands or air purge seal
The shaft seal is with PTFE or graphite packing glands.
Labyrinth ring and air purge connection on request.
4 Cast iron, stainless steel or aluminium end plates
NBR or Silicone End plate O-ring for food industry.
5 A counter-flange connects directly the BT Rotary Valve with
the conveying line.
The seal is with NBR or Silicone O-ring for food industry.
6 8 (standard), 10 or 12 vanes open end partially filled rotor,
fabricated construction, bevelled edge and machined to close
tolerance.
7 The housing is designed to obtain low leakage and
high filling efficiency.
Large air integral vent opening for special operating conditions.
