Application
Screw Conveyors are continuous
mechanical handling equipment consisting of a helical screw blade mounted
to a rotating shaft and of a stationary trough incorporating the rotating
shaft with the screw blade.
Features
YOUNG-MASSA Screw conveyors are used in a horizontal or inclined position
to 20° and are available in 7 standard sizes: 160, 200, 250, 315,
400, 500, 630.
They make use of solutions resulted from 30 years activity in this field,
as for example:
• Generous rotating shafts for length
until 12m, without any intermediate supporting.
• High stiffness of the shafts, with
a maximum camber of 1/1.000 of length.
• Restricted peripheral speed of
the screw in order to
permit a long life.
• No welding in the coupling pins/shaft,
in order to avoid internal stretches and consequent fatigue failure.
• Perfect shafting and pin ends alignment,
through an
adequate shop equipment.
• Commercial” Rugged External
Supporting, bracket
mounted for a rapid replacement.
• Packing gland type seal.
• Pins extractable from the shaft
and replaceable.
