Absolute Process Instruments, founded in 1987, is a diverse designer and manufacturer of a wide variety of standard and custom electronic products. Absolute Process Instruments is divided into two manufacturing divisions that utilize its resources in electronic circuit design/engineering, product development/specification and manufacturing. Cecomp Electronics Division specializes in pressure/vacuum test, measurement and process control instrumentation while API specializes in signal conditioning products, signal isolators and industrial signal transmitters. Absolute Process Instruments manufactures all of its products in the USA and has extensive electronic circuit design, development and manufacturing experience in both thru-hole and fully automated SMT (Surface Mount Technology).
In July of 2000, Absolute Process Instruments and the Cecomp Electronics Division moved to its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Libertyville, Illinois. This new facility will accommodate the growth potential of API with state-of-the-art equipment, highly skilled engineers and staff, and innovative ideas. Absolute Process Instruments will continue to be a leading manufacturer of signal conditioning products and custom electronics.
In 2002, GMC Instruments of Germany and Absolute Process Instruments, Inc. formed a strategic alliance for their industrial process products. The products manufactured by Camille Bauer in Switzerland are now offered exclusively by the API-Camille Bauer Division of API in North America and will complement and expand the product lines manufactured by API. This partnership will continue the tradition of excellent product support, competitive prices, and fast delivery for these high performance signal conditioning, Kinax position transducers and electric power measurement products.
