Love
Controls produces a large variety of SensorPulse
Signal Conditioners, Transmitters, Alarms. From
Loop Powered Transmitters, Signal Conditioning Blocks,
Loop Alarms to Frequency Isolated Converters, Current
Indicators, and Pressure Transmitters, we have the product
avaialble to meet your requirements. Mod-Tronic Instruments
Limited is pleased to show you some of the SensorPulse
Signal Conditioners, Transmitters, Alarms products
from the wide selection available from the Love line.
The
Love Controls SCU's are universal analog input, Loop
Powered Transmitters for isolation, display, and retransmission
of all common process sources. The input allows selection
of one of eight thermocouple types, three RTD types, and
scalable voltage (0 to 10 Vdc) and current (0 to 20 mAdc)
signal sources.
Thermocouple and RTD input ranges are listed below. Process
inputs are scalable in engineering units from -19999 to
+19999 with adjustable decimal points.
Featuring 1500 V isolation between input and output, the
SCU also offers two independent alarms for additional
application flexibility.
The
MSC, Micro Signal Conditioning Blocks, from SensorPulse
represent state of the art signal conditioning technology.
Models feature 2 & 3 way isolation, programmable outputs,
digital calibration, high accuracy, and high density terminal
block DIN rail packaging.
The signal conditioners are excellent for front-end interfaces
for Programmable Logic Controllers and Data Acquisition
systems. The MSP-LI-C is a loop powered current isolator.
The MSC blocks are configurable via any PC or the new
HPC (Handheld Personal Computer) Windows CE palm tops.
A complete digital design replaces potentiometers with
software for calibration via a PC or HPC. Store all setup
parameters in non-volatile EEPROM on-board the unit. Save
configuration files, for backup and restoration of field
settings.
The
Love Controls SC1290 and SCL1290 Loop Alarm accept
inputs from most thermocouples. Relay outputs may be set
for latching or non-latching. Alarms may be set for direct
or reverse action, high or low function, and have normally
open or normally closed contacts, thus providing a large
number of combinations of output behavior.
Output behavior is easily programmable via switches. Among
the choices the user may make is to cause the relay to
energize or de-energize at the trip point, trip on an
increasing or decreasing signal, and place the trip point
above or below the dead band.
The SC1290 and SCL1290 allow switch select ability of
thermocouple types and up to 24 ranges.
Two LED indicators show if the input is within or out
of limits. When the input is within set limits, both LEDs
will be green. If the input reaches either trip point,
high or low, the LED connected to that point will show
red.
The
SC448 and SCL448 Strain Gauge and Bridge Isolators
/ Transmitters allow low cost retransmission of any
Strain Gauge or Bridge circuit. Featuring two fixed and
two variable excitation supplies, the Love Controls SC448
and SCL448 can isolate and retransmit to a wide variety
of external devices with standard process signals.
The SC448 operates on line power (85 to 265 V DC or AC,
50 to 400 Hz) so no extra power supply is needed.
The SCL448 operates on low power (9.6 to 28 V DC or AC,
50 to 400 Hz) for systems that work exclusively at low
voltages.
The SC448 and SCL448 mount easily on a standard 35mm DIN
rail and is only 22.5 mm (0.886 in) wide, allowing space
for other equipment. Multiple modules may be mounted together
without needing extra spacing or heat sinks that eat up
space in your panel.
The SC448 and SCL448 are part of Love Controls complete
line of transmitter / isolators for virtually any process
signal. Try them today.
The
SC478 and SCL478 Frequency Isolators / Transmitters
allow low cost retransmission of any AC Sine Wave source
from 50 mV to 150VRMS and 2 to 10,000 Hz. Featuring push
button setup, the Love Controls SC478 and SCL478 can isolate
and retransmit to a wide variety of external devices with
standard process signals.
The SC478 operates on line power (85 to 265 V DC or AC,
50 to 400 Hz) so no extra power supply is needed.
The SCL478 operates on low power (9.6 to 28 V DC or AC,
50 to 400 Hz) for systems that work exclusively at low
voltages.

SensorPulsess
MSP family of analog I/O blocks offers the freedom to
use any analog sensor with many models of PLC. Each MSP
block provides a single analog input (or output) interface
between the PLC and the analog world. Communications between
the MSP unit and the PLC is through a patented protocol
that provides truly "open" architecture for analog signals
to be processed digitally.
The MSP is factory configured for a frequency input signal.
Optionally, the MSP signal range can be reconfigured in
the field to meet custom re-ranging needs.
Input Signal
The input signal is isolated, filtered, amplified, scaled
and/or linearized by the MSP micro-processor and converted
to a 16-bt, binary weighted, digital word which is transmitted
serially (on bit at a time) at 24VDC signal levels to
the PLCs discrete I/O port. At the PLC, each binary-weighted
bit send to the discrete input is temporarily stored until
all 16 bits have been received. The digital word is then
reassembled and its value (proportional to the analog
signal) is placed in a working register of choice for
decision making by the PLC program.
