Madison
Company offers three types of temperature probes that
can be incorporated into the stem of a liquid level
switch. They are best used in brass or stainless steel
stems to allow for proper heat transfer for accurate
readings.
The
advantages of incorporating a temperature probe into
the switch are several:
- Saves
space
- Fewer
intrusions into the tank
- Wiring
from one location rather than several
- Labor
savings on assembly and installation
- One
supply source for two products
Multiple
units can be used in a stem. The stem must be one
inch longer for a bottom mounted probe. For a single
probe, three wires can be used for a common ground
or four wires for isolated wiring of the probe. For
multi-level switches and/or probes, the number of
units is limited to the number of wires the stem can
accommodate. For example, our full size stainless
steel stem can be supplied with a maximum of ten wires.
