Oven
Cure Aerosol Coating is a cost effective Heat Cure Coating
designed to provide an alternative to Black Oxide Treatment
of steel and cast iron parts.
The
cure aerosol or bulk coating is tough, durable, corrosive
resistant, and chemical resistant. Instead of shipping
parts to outside sources for black oxidizing and other surface
processes, parts can be coated in house more economically
and in less time.
Chem-Pak
oven cures are supplied in a convenient aerosols for ease
of use.
After the coating is applied, the curing process is completed
by baking the part in industrial, or household oven at 350
F for 20-30 minutes.
Once cured, the coating is extremely tough, durable, and
attractive. It is highly resistant to abrasion, corrosion,
and chemical attack.
It is resistant to typical solvents such as toluene, xylene,
MEK, ethyl acetate, IPA, mineral spirits and most other
solvents.
Use On:
All steel alloys and cast iron parts, short production runs,
small parts, decorative iron works, rush jobs.
Directions:
Remove excess oil or rust preventative from the surface
of the part. Apply one coat and allow to dry.
If a second coat is desired, allow the first coat to dry
15 - 20 minutes before applying the second coat. Allow final
coat to dry for 15 to 20 minutes before curing. Bake parts
at 350 F for 20-30 minutes to fully cure. If the coated
part is not fully cured, the coating will not develop physical
and performance properties.
Available
in 6 oz. aerosols and 1 gallon pails.
