CDS Inlet Cyclone™

CDS Inlet Cyclone™ has numerous successful applications in the oil and gas industry and is the first inlet cyclone technology ever applied to a subsea field. The purpose of this device is to disengage the gas from the bulk liquids as well as to absorb the momentum of the incoming stream. It can operate at both high and low gas oil ratios without the risk of gas blow and excessive liquid re-entrainment into the gas phase. Field testing has shown that even with high inlet momentums neither the liquid-liquid separation nor the de-foaming capabilities of the inlet cyclone are affected.

For new-build vessels the size of the inlet piping and/or the separator or scrubber itself can be considerably reduced which results in a compact overall solution.

It is ideal for retrofit as it will increase the capacity of an existing separator or scrubber when applied to the process.

Evenflow HE

As preferred inlet technology for Total Pazflor subsea separation system and with a large number of successful installations in the oil and gas industry, the CDS Evenflow is a safe and reliable inlet technology widely used for challenging separation applications. It ensures an even distribution which is necessary in order to prevent any chance of channeling occurring through the downstream devices and to fully utilize gravity separation. The momentum of the incoming feed stream is decreased, which allows removal of any bulk liquids and solids that may be present and makes it possible to evenly distribute the gas flow over the vessel cross section. Since the fluids are not directed straight downwards onto the liquid surface, the effects of liquid re-entrainment are at a minimum.
